Membership letter spring 2026

Dear Member of Brf Gillet,

We are now approaching spring, and the association has a number of garden boxes available for anyone interested in gardening. You can borrow one. Please contact styrelsen@brfgillet.se if you would like to garden this spring/summer. This also applies if you have had a garden box previously. You are responsible for any weeding and for replacing the soil in the garden box you are assigned.

Maintenance of refrigerator/freezer
Unfortunately, we have had water damage in several apartments and would like to remind everyone to maintain their refrigerators and freezers. The most common causes of water damage from fridges/freezers are forgetting to clean the drainage hole in the refrigerator, which leads to condensation water inside that can run out onto the floor. Another common cause is defective door seals. If the rubber seal is damaged or dirty, warm air can enter. This increases condensation and can overload the refrigerator’s ability to drain water.

Contracts
The association has recently extended the elevator service contract with Schindler. During the spring, we will need to perform maintenance on our elevators, which means the elevator will need to be taken out of service for a few hours. More information will be provided as we get closer.

Defibrillator
We would also like to inform and remind you that a defibrillator is located in building 10, and all members’ key tags provide access.

Annual General Meeting
The date for the Annual General Meeting in May has not yet been decided, but more information will be coming soon.

Barbecue Area
Lastly, we want to remind you of our lovely barbecue area, which is free to use and does not need to be booked. However, it can be useful to inform others via our Facebook group to ensure it is available.
