Newsletter autumn 2026 (English version)
Hello everyone at Brf Gillet!
Here is a brief update and newsletter from the Board. Yesterday, 8th of September, we held a Board Meeting where we went through a number of matters. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the following:
- Loans & Repayment
- Check your smoke alarms in the apartment
- Replace the ventilation filters
- Gas canister storage
- Emergency preparedness checklist (what you should have at home)
Loans and repayment
We are currently renegotiating part of our loan of SEK 30 million, which is due to expire on 30 September. We will provide more information as soon as we know more.
We have also decided to repay SEK 2.5 million of the loan in connection with this.
Reminders for the autumn
There are a few things that are worth checking at home now that autumn is approaching:
🔥 Check your smoke alarm
Please make sure that your smoke alarm is working properly. Test it regularly and replace the batteries when necessary.
🌬️ Time to replace the ventilation filters
The filters are located in each radiator, and new filters can be purchased from Acticon.
Acticon
A functioning filter helps ensure good air quality in your home.
The bbq season is coming to an end
Reminder: No gas canisters in the attic
We would like to remind everyone that gas canisters must not be stored in the attic once the barbecue season is over. Please make sure to store gas canisters on your balcony.
Household emergency preparedness checklist
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency recommends that all households should be able to manage on their own for at least one week (seven days) without assistance from society.
Here is a simple checklist of things that are good to have at home:
- 💧 Water: At least 3–4 litres per person per day for drinking and basic hygiene. Store water in clean, food-grade containers.
- 🥫 Food: Food that can be stored at room temperature, has a long shelf life, and can be eaten cold or requires minimal water to prepare, such as canned food, oats, pasta, crispbread, nuts and tube cheese.
- 📻 Communication: A hand-crank or battery-powered radio so that you can listen to the emergency broadcasting channel Sveriges Radio P4. It is also a good idea to have charged power banks and important telephone numbers written down on paper.
- 🔥 Warmth and light: Blankets, warm clothes, sleeping bags, matches, candles and flashlights/headlamps with spare batteries. A camping stove or gas stove can also be useful to have.
- 🩹 First aid and hygiene: A first-aid kit, necessary prescription medication (ideally keep a one-month supply at home), wet wipes, hand sanitiser and sanitary bags.
- 💸 Cash: Keep some cash in smaller denominations at home in case payment systems or Swish are unavailable.
We wish you all a wonderful autumn! 🍂
